London Needs A Night Mayor – And It Could Be You!

Applications now open - apply within...

London mayor Sadiq Khan has officially launched the city's search for a Night Mayor.

The project was mooted during the politician's mayoral campaign, with recent events – the closure of Shapes, the ongoing discussion around fabric's license – pressing the need ever further.

Now the role has been officially advertised online. It looks good, too – there's a £35,000 annual salary, with the successful applicant being asked to work for 2.5 days per week.

The job description states: "The Mayor of London is looking to appoint the UK’s first Night Czar to shape London’s future as a 24-hour city. The Night Czar will champion the value of London’s night time culture whilst developing and diversifying London’s night time economy."

"Working with the Mayor, the Night Time Commission, local authorities, businesses, the Metropolitan Police Service, Transport For London and other agencies, the Night Czar will create a vision for London as a 24-hour city and a roadmap showing how the vision will be realised."

Interviews will take place next month – apply HERE.
