Wistful, droning psych...
The Lucid Dream

The Lucid Dream have completed work on their debut album - stream a preview below.

Something's happening here, but what it is ain't exactly clear...

The Lucid Dream have a sound which could have been crafted in 1967 or 1987, but only really makes sense in 2013. Droning psychedelia with an Eastern edge, the band come pouring out of Cumbria, with the mists of the North East still clinging to their hair.

Live, the group have a ferocious, visceral edge which often collapses into feedback. However beneath the forbidding volume there is a wistful edge, something which could only come from England.

Debut album 'Songs of Lies & Deceit' is complete and will be released on August 5th. Recorded at Ghost Town Studios, Leeds, with producer Ross Halden, it's a record which veers between the extremes of sweet and sour.

As a taster, ClashMusic have been handed new cut 'Heading For The Waves'. Opening with a galloping acoustic guitar, there are droning, Eastern tinges which are only furthered by the liquid electric lines.

Stirring, epic material designed to expand minds and shatter the consciousness, you can stream it below.

'Songs of Lies & Deceit' is set to be released on August 5th.
