The Field has posted the title cut of new album 'Cupid's Head' online – listen to it now.

Axel Willner is one of the most broadminded producers working in what could loosely be called techno, applying his skills to numerous projects. Yet the Swedish artist continually returned to The Field, the moniker which supplied 2009's wonderful full length 'Yesterday And Today'.

A fusion of disco, house, techno and more, the album was followed by 2011's 'Looping State Of Mind'. Engrossing, thoughtful and dynamic electronic music, The Field has now signalled his intentions to return with a new album.

'Cupid's Head' will be released through Kompakt and is seemingly a return to the solo visions of The Field's early output. Axel Willner explained recently that the album "is about visions of the future, tiny actions and their consequences, about sentimentality and most certainly… about life."

'Cupid's Head' is set to be released on September 30th. Catch The Field at the following shows:

October
12 Bristol Simple Things Festival (live with band)
25 Manchester Warehouse Project (live with band)
