Listen: PJ Harvey Chairs ‘Today’

Singer tackles Radio 4 staple...

PJ Harvey has stepped in to chair Radio 4's 'Today' programme.

PJ Harvey likes to keep us on our toes. Shocking some fans by accepting an MBE from the Queen just before Christmas, the singer performed another about turn yesterday (January 2nd).

Hosting Radio 4 staple the 'Today' programme, PJ Harvey was granted a platform for her tastes and views. Allowed free rein, the Mercury Prize winning singer responded with what the Daily Mail have already described as "drivel" and the "worst ever" Today programme.

So it must be good.

During the hour long broadcast, PJ Harvey holds forth on topics such as Julian Assange and The Flight of The Conchords, before replacing the weather forecast with a demo recording of Tom Waits' 'Strange Weather'. Because she can.
