Listen: Phobophobes – ‘Where Is My Owner’

Recorded somewhere beneath the Brixton Windmill...

New music is oozing out of South London on a daily basis.

A collective of menacing, dirty, demented rock 'n' roll groups are hauling themselves forwards, with the likes of Goat Girl, SHAME, and HMLTD all finding wider recognition.

Phobophobes could be next. New single 'Where Is My Owner' sounds like a baroque version of The Cramps, with that low, rumbling vocal recalling Nick Cave in his Birthday Party pomp.

Recorded in a DIY lair beneath Brixton's Windmill venue – the hub for this here scene – it's an imposing, intense return from a highly talented group.

Tune in below.

Catch Phobophobes performing at (South) London's Corsica Studios on October 3rd.
