Moby and Wayne Coyne have paired up, with a bizarre new video in the works.
Finding international success with 'Play', Moby has spent the best part of a decade indulging in free-willed experimentation. New album 'Innocents' features a raft of collaborations, including a guest spot from renowned psychedelic minstrel Wayne Coyne.
The Flaming Lips frontman appears on 'The Perfect Life' and helps push Moby's gentle electronic-flecked songcraft into outer space. Shooting a bizarre video in the desert for the track, Moby put out a casting call on Facebook which included requests for "eight roller-skating ghosts", "12 goth choir members", "2 obese bearded bikers in red speedos" and more.
Alongside this, the pair recorded an acoustic rendition. Moby introduces the track: "a few weeks ago wayne and i spent the day making a video for 'the perfect life'. then at the end of the day we broke out an acoustic guitar and gathered all of the extras on a rooftop overlooking l.a and sang an unrehearsed, impromptu version of the song. please keep in mind we had no idea what we were doing."
Listen to it below.
'Innocents' is set to be released on September 30th.
