Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas has posted a new Footwork mix containing some rare tracks.
The alien sounds of Chicago are fuelling a new wave of electronic exploration. The stripped down, sparse answer to Juke, Footwork matches light-speed tempos to lightning quick shifts in innovation.
In Europe, Planet Mu have done more than most to boost the scene's visibility. Label boss Mike Paradinas has crafted a number of mixes based on the scene's difficult to trace output, with each one becoming essential listening.
Set to play Rotterdam's Containerfest at the weekend, a cancelled flight ruined his plans. Rather than let this get him down, Paradinas instead decided to piece together a 90 minute mix based on rare Footwork material. (via Dummy)
"FWIW I do agree that 90 mins of footwork is "a bit much" but I just went with it..." wrote Paradinas. "I do find it hard to listen to all in one go," he continued, "but there are some great tracks in there".
