M.I.A. has posted new track 'UNBREAK my Mixtape' online - listen to it below.
It's a small world. M.I.A. once lived with Elastica singer Justine Frischmann, who of course formed one of Britpop's central partnerships with Blur frontman Damon Albarn.
The pair's break up would fuel Blur's acclaimed album '13', which spawned the gospel infused single 'Tender'. Now M.I.A. has returned with a new song sampling... 'Tender'.
Seemingly taken from much-delayed new album 'Matangi' (currently due on November 5th) the song finds M.I.A. gently rapping over a stuttering Funky Drummer sample, while the dense array of samples moves between Blur and tragic Greenwich Village folk talent Karen Dalton.
Tagged as 'Lovers Rock' and 'soft' on SoundCloud, it displays a rather more tender side to the Sri Lankan singer.
