Listen: Luluc – Without A Face

Beautifully wyrd folk from Australia...

The wyrd folk explosion in the Noughties brought all manner of gloriously frazzled acoustic songsmithery into the bright light of day.

Thankfully, there are still those on the fringes, on the margins keen to explore these realms. A group from Australian, Luluc – pronounced 'loo-luke' – have been working with Aaron Dessner of the National on their new album.

Sub Pop have been entranced by their late summer stylings, with the Seattle powerhouse set to release the 'Passerby' LP on July 14th.

New cut 'Without A Face' has been placed online, and it's a gloriously entrancing piece of music. Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett seem to swirl around one another, the gentle arrangement allowing Randell's beautiful voice full space to express itself.

Check it out now.

'Passerby' will be released on July 14th.
