Kane Strang has signed to Dead Oceans, and shared new cut 'Oh So You're Off I See'.
The Dunedin talent sits in the city's fantastic indie lineage, with his off kilter guitar squall reminiscent of The Chills or The Clean.
Yet there's a modern twist here, too, with Kane Strang's debut 'Blue Cheese' reflecting American artists such as Ariel Pink as well as his own wilful idiosyncracies.
Snapped up by those-of-excellent-taste at Dead Oceans, Kane Strang is currently working on new material.
Material like new track 'Oh So You're Off I See' will be more than welcome, with Kane fusing that caveman guitar chug with a neat melodic sense and surrealistic word play.
It's rather good, y'know. Tune in now.
