Girl Band are a band without a single female member.

The Dublin quartet first caught our attention last year, applying some serious noise to Blawan's techno workout 'Why They Hide Their Bodies Under Their Garage'.

So it's fair to say that they're a contradiction, wrapped in a muddle, smothered in the unexpected. With 2014 yawning into view, Girl Band have decided that the time is nigh to release a new single.

'Lawman' will be released on limited edition seven inch vinyl by Any Other City Records. Available from January 10th, it's an intense yet funky piece of noise-rock with rasps out past the seven minute mark.

Sounding a little like King Crimson but with a No Wave, skronk-indebted edge, that ferocious sludge comes straight out of the Sub Pop rulebook.

Which, y'know, is right up our strasse...
