Ahead of their Bestival appearance

Friendly Fires are streaming a new mix ahead of their participation in RizLab - listen to it now!

Launched earlier this year, RizLab aims to bring together artists from different backgrounds to make something strikingly new. Travelling down to Bestival, the organisers decided to get Friendly Fires involved.

Long term fans of electronic music, Friendly Fires were offered the chance to work with any producer they wanted to. Delighted, the trio drew up a shortlist which mixed newcomers with house legends.

Currently, the line up contains such iconic names as Chicago house legend Frankie Knuckles. One of the most influential producers ever to emerge from Chicago (quite a claim, given the city's heritage) Frankie Knuckles will be joined by Manchester rave hero and Jungle pioneer A Guy Called Gerald.

Post-dubstep producer SBTRKT is also due to take part, with the line up including names such as Lone and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Friendly Fires are set to be involved throughout the event, both collaborating with the artists and playing a DJ spot of their own. Crafting a thirty minute mix, the band have decided to let fans know what to expect...
