A pseudonym for Benjamin John Power, Blanck Mass introduced itself last year. Crafting a quite superb full length album, the producer matched an interest in the natural world with a compositional sense which enjoyed unravelling slowly.
So when news of a new 12 inch broke, we got rather excited. Tying up a deal with Software, Blanck Mass is set to release 'White Math' / 'Polymorph' on August 20th.
Fans had been promised something pretty lengthy, and so it proves. 'White Math' has emerged online, and the track slowly unravels over its 11 and a half minutes.
There's an underlying rhythm, a pulse which ties the whole piece together with Power - as usual - preferring to allow the track to slowly morph and shift at its own pace.
