Rising London producer Ben Khan has posted new cut 'Savage' - listen to it below.
Does the world really need another producer focussing on warped, woozy, moon-lit R&B? Perhaps not.
But the world definitely does need another true original, another artist with their own tastes, appetite and voice.
Ben Khan arrives remarkably fully formed: sure, those R&B influences are present and correct but there's far more going on here than initially meets the eye.
The honeyed production stretches to fill any space, gently rolling across each percussive crack, each shivering note. At times sparse, comparisons have been made to Jai Paul, and - whilst simplistic - there is a point here.
Ben Khan's palette, the colours inherent in his music are bright, vivid... at times garish. New cut 'Savage' is an immediate blast of energy, fusing gliding electric guitar to 80s electro funk synths and day dream tempos.
