Arcade Fire have unveiled new track 'Afterlife' - the latest preview from 'Reflektor'.
In a year dominated by large scale returns, few have sparked such intense speculation as Arcade Fire. Perhaps it's their track record - all three studio albums score enormous approval on Metacritic - but fans around the world are desperate for a glimpse of their new material.
Upcoming album 'Reflektor' is set to be released on October 28th, with Zane Lowe playing new cut 'Afterlife' on his Radio 1 show last night (October 21st).
It's an epic return: very much in keeping with the electronic moments on 'The Suburbs' there's a euphoric desperation running through the track. A lyric video swiftly appeared online, matching Arcade Fire's music against visuals borrowed from 'Black Orpheus' - a 1959 film which re-contextualises the Greek myth towards a Brazilian favela.
