Icelandic singer's daring return...

Since 2007's debut LP 'Við og Við' Ólöf Arnalds has been predictable in her unpredictability.

Managing to shift and evolve with each passing release, the Icelandic singer's new album 'Palme' seems to represent something of a dramatic leap.

New cut 'Half Steady' drops her acoustic tones for electronic production, shuffling rhythms and a song structure which obeys its own merry whims.

That stunning voice remains at the heart of it, though, with Ólöf Arnalds injecting everything she does with no small amount of imagination.

Check it out below.

'Palme' is set to be released on September 29th.

As if that wasn't enough, Ólöf Arnalds has confirmed the following shows:

30 Birmingham Moseley Folk Festival

28 Brighton Komedia Studio Bar
29 London Oslo

1 Bristol The Louisiana
2 Manchester Cornerhouse
3 Liverpool Leaf
4 York Fibbers
5 Glasgow Mono
