Putney electro-pop group Hot Chip have given fans an early Christmas present by streaming their Vampire Weekend cover - featuring Peter Gabriel - live online now.

The group have had a brilliant year, which began by appearing on the first Clash Magazine cover of 2008. Their album 'Made In The Dark' is one of the dance albums of the year, containing the smash hit single 'Ready For The Floor'.

Hot Chip have decided to cover Vampire Weekend's 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa'. Taken from their acclaimed debut album, the Hot Chip version is a radical overhaul and features former Genesis singer Peter Gabriel - who is actually namechecked in the lyrics.

Hot Chip are set to have a busy festive period, releasing an EP of collaborations with the simply wonderful English singer Robert Wyatt.
