Lissie has announced plans for a short UK tour this October.
An astute, intoxicating songwriter, so much of Lissie's appeal is wrapped up in her live show. Easy going but with a rock 'n' roll temperament, the American artist will return later this year with new album 'Back To Forever'.
Set to be released on October 28th, the new material will coincide with a short UK tour. Opening in Glasgow on October 24th, Lissie then travels to Ireland for a one off Dublin date before the tour draws to a close with shows in Manchester and London.
Due to appear at Camden's ever-evocative live music venue KOKO on October 28th. Tickets go on sale this Friday (August 16th).
Clash spoke to Lissie recently, and the singer mused on the way in which European audiences have taken to her Americana drenched songwriting. "I'm quite straight forward in what I do, I mean I'm vulnerable but passionate and I'm also strong at the same time" she explains. "I think that's very humanising and approachable and I think that's universal and I don't think that’s limited to any one part of the world. I just think it's universal. The things I'm singing about are things which everyone can relate to, I think".
