Liam Gallagher Supports Bees
"We've got to save them" he says
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has thrown his weight behind a surprising new cause - bees.
Whilst Oasis aren't exactly the most reliable of acts, eyebrows were raised when the group pulled out of the second leg of V Festival. Having completed their first headline show the band travelled to the second site, only to cancel their slot.
Citing throat problems, singer Liam Galagher apologised to fans. However British tabloids were awash with rumours that Oasis were set to split. Ferociously denying these reports, the band stayed together for about a week before Noel Gallagher left Oasis.
Since then, Oasis have gone to ground. Refusing to comment on the split, Liam Gallagher instead went on holiday to Italy. The singer appears to have recovered from his throat problems, but is keen to pay tribute to some unlikely saviours.
In a new interview with The Sun, Liam Gallagher claims that bees helped him recovered his voice. Currently under threat, the singer has thrown his weight behind the yellow and black pollen collectors.
"The bees are vanishing. We've got to save them before they all buzz off. It's important. It's a really worthwhile cause" Liam Gallagher told The Sun. "Without them we're in proper bother" he explained.
The singer also recently launched the Autumn / Winter range of his Pretty Green clothing label. Formed earlier this year the label is thought to have driven a wedge between Liam Gallagher and his guitarist brother.
The new range includes a lime green Monkey jacket, with Liam Gallagher keen to put a modern spin on old classics.
