Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has re-opened his feud with Robbie Williams, labelling the singer a "fat idiot".
The frontman, a veteran of numerous musical feuds, has previously rowed with Williams. At that time, the former/returning Take That icon publicly invited Gallagher to step into the boxing ring for a charity match.
Now it seems that the argument has been re-ignited. Beady Eye recently performed at the 1,500-capacity Manchester venue The Ritz (Clash review), while across town Williams completed one of four nights at the city's Etihad Stadium.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live, the former Oasis frontman launched into a tirade. "We should be playing the Etihad, not some f***ing fat f***ing idiot. It could be any f***ing clown," he said.
"I think it’s a shame that he’s doing three (sic) nights and a band like us are doing one night in the Ritz," he continued. "Poor, mate. It’s not about him, it’s people in general. But it’s about f***ing him, just in case you think I’m scared or something."
Labelling Beady Eye a "proper live band" the frontman then lamented the state of the music industry. "Everyone thinks we’re going to announce big f***ing stadiums. (The Ritz)'s the level we’re at and we’ll stay at that until you pull your f***ing finger out and buy the f***ing records."
