Liam Gallagher On Brotherly Love

"I wish him all the best"

Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has revealed his love for brother - and one time bandmate - Noel.

Liam and Noel Gallagher were one of the most talked about partnerships in British music. Continually on the verge of splitting up, the pair used their truculent relationship to power them to greater heights.

However earlier this year the pair had one final, climactic fall out. Liam Gallagher smashed his brother's guitars, with Noel Gallagher walking out of the band he had helped to guide to global stardom.

Since then, Liam Gallagher has given a number of interviews promising to record solo material. The singer is due to enter the studio early next year, with brother Noel Gallagher also reportedly working on a new album.

Speaking at the launch of his new label Pretty Green the singer has claimed that he feels no ill will towards his brother. "He's doing his thing, we're doing our thing, I wish him all the best," Liam Gallagher told Sky News.

"I don't wish him any bad, I'm his brother. I love him to death." However Liam Gallagher also warned Noel about his solo plans, saying: "Don't release it (Noel Gallagher's solo album) the same day, 'cos we'll ave ya."

Asked if he had a message for his brother, Liam Gallagher replied: "Good luck mate - see you in the next world. Don't be late!"

The singer explained that he could still use the Oasis name. "We're sorta going through the mill of getting a new name, nothings sticking, so we've drawn the line on the names at the moment" he explained.

"People are still gonna go 'Its still Oasis, but its not Oasis without Noel' - life's too short to be arsing about with what people think and that. We'll see what happens, we're concentrating on the music at the moment."
