Liam Gallagher Fashion Label
Oasis singer launches brand
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is set to enter world of fashion after launching his own label.
The singer has long been known for his love of clothes. Gallagher's sartorial flair has seen him become the definitive British frontman of his generation, blending Mod and casual styles with a little bit of what takes his fancy.
The new label will be called Pretty Green, after a song by The Jam. In a video interview on the label's newly launched site the singer said "the reason I'm doing it is I like clothes. We're going to do clothes I like, if people like it cool if they don't, they don't!"
He added: "If you're going to do it, you've got to get involved and I'm looking forward to it, and I think it's going to be good."
Both Liam and his brother Noel are renowned fashion fans. Noel Gallagher actually owns one of Britain's biggest trainer collections, gathering rare examples alongside new releases.
Liam Gallagher has not released any designs as yet but the label states that "Pretty Green is an up-front, straight talking, classic clothing range owned, founded and designed by Liam Gallagher. The Pretty Green team is made up of key industry professionals."
"The clothing range, which is entirely 'limited edition', will include classic designs across footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, T-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories; all subject to Liam's final approval."
Pretty Green launches soon.
