Rising from the ashes of Oasis, Beady Eye always faced a struggle to be accepted.

Operating in a musical landscape which had virtually wiped guitar music from the mainstream, the group nonetheless notched up two Top 10 albums, with the most recent – ‘BE’ – coming in 2013.

The group’s future has been the subject of speculation recently, with cryptic remarks from band members casting doubt over their plans. Now Liam Gallagher appears to have sealed their split with a single tweet:
