Led Zeppelin Stand In Speaks
Myles Kennedy on jamming with rock gods
It's no secret Led Zeppelin have recently been rehearsing with a number of singers, and now Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge has broken his silence on his time with the band.
After reforming for the Ahmet Ertegun re-union concert in 2007, Led Zeppelin seemed intent on reforming permanently. However, singer Robert Plant pulled out citing an unwillingness to make electric music and to undertake long tours.
The band then began auditioning singers, including Myles Kennedy. "I am not singing in Led Zeppelin or any offshoot of Led Zeppelin, but I did have a great opportunity and it was something that I'm very grateful for,” Kennedy told Blabbermouth.
Describing the experience as "surreal" the singer said "it was great. I'll tell that story some day. But for now, it was a good experience, and I'm still pinching myself, let's put it that way."
Earlier this month Jimmy Page's manager Peter Mensch dashed hopes for a re-union by stating that the band had given up trying to find a singer.
