LCD Soundsystem to make new album?

Head of DFA records and the lynchpin of LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy, has discounted rumors that the band's finished (rumours like THIS) by stating that he has written material for a new album.

In a new interview Murphy claims that he has already written eight tracks for LCD's follow-up to last year's 'Sound Of Silver' album:

"I write all my music in my head, I never demo. I get to a point where there are too many songs and I have to get them recorded. I recently felt that. I've got eight in my head - that's critical mass."

Murphy refused to be drawn on a release date however. Already busy with DJing, operating DFA with Tim Goldsworthy and several other projects, it may be some time before we hear the finished result. IF we hear a finished result of course, if Al Doyle's comments HERE are to be believed...

James Murphy has revealed that LCD Soundsystem will make at least one more album.
