Laurel Halo is set to accompany her new EP 'Behind The Green Door' with a one off London show.
Hyperdub's shift from purely club oriented, 12 inch driven material to a wider, album led approach has led to some fascinating releases. 2012 was a bumper year, but in our eyes Laurel Halo's 'Quarantine' full length stole the show.
Since then, the artist has played a handful of live shows but it seems that these have fuelled a batch of new material. Collecting four tracks onto an upcoming EP, Laurel Halo will release 'Behind The Green Door' through Hyperdub on May 20th.
In an intriguing press burst the label explained: "These four tracks are hardware-only affairs developed from her live set, built from a kit focused on dancefloor-ready rhythms, enveloping bass, psychedelic detail and lush harmony."
To coincide with this announcement, Laurel Halo is set to play a one off London show next week. Taking place in XOYO, the producer will take to the stage on April 25th joined by a varied cast which includes the likes of bass heavyweight Untold, Kaseem Mosse, Lee Gamble and Bill Kouligas.
