Last Glastonbury Tickets On Sale
Few remaining briefs up for grabs
The organisers of Glastonbury are set to put the last remaining tickets for this year's festival up for sale on Sunday (April 5th).
Last year Glastonbury was dogged by controversy and bad press. Their ticketing procedure was heavily criticised by fans, and after numerous wet summers music lovers stayed away in droves.
When the line up was finally revealed organisers were lambasted by musical experts such as Noel Gallagher for the inclusion of Jay-Z, who they argued did not fit the festivals core values. Tickets for the event finally sold out on the opening day, the latest that Glastonbury has sold out in over a decade.
This year it seems that organisers are keen to get the event back on track. One change that was made almost immediately was the introduction of an innovative new procedure to buy tickets. Fans could simply put down a deposit and pay the rest as and when they could.
Hugely popular, almost all the tickets were snapped up instantly. The few that remain are returns, making this a unique opportunity to buy tickets to the event.
According to Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk, there are a "few thousand" tickets left for the event. The bill has been kept tightly under wraps, but Michael Eavis could hardly contain himself after confirming Bruce Springsteen.
The Boss will make a rare visit to the UK for a headline slot - his first ever appearance at Glastonbury. Joining him so far are some of music's biggest names including legendary songwriter Neil Young, Scottish indie giants Franz Ferdinand and many more.
Further down the bill are Doves, Fleet Foxes, Lily Allen - while Tony Christie will perform the customary oldies slot.
Glastonbury takes place between June 24th - 29th.
