Electro pixie Lady Gaga has seized control of the UK number one singles chart with her new track 'Just Dance', it has been announced.
The singer has topped the UK charts with her debut single, becoming lauded as the 'new Madonna' in the process. ClashMusic don't know if she has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of the Material Girl, but 'Just Dance' is sure as hell catchy.
Close behind the singer is Kid Cudi Vs Crookers with their track 'Day N Nite'. Only released physically today (January 19th), you can read our verdict here.

Over on the album charts the big hitters of 2008 still reign supreme with Kings Of Leon and Duffy lingering round like pine needles from the Christmas tree lodged in your carpet. However the class of 2008 have been rudely interrupted by pop starlet Lady Gaga and her debut LP 'The Fame' which has hit number three.
