Kylie To Host Brit Awards

Australian Singer To Present Ceremony

Australian princess of pop Kylie Minogue is reportedly set to be unveiled as the host for next year's Brit awards, to be held at its now traditional home of Earls Court in London.

The singer is reported to be close to agreeing a deal to host the ceremony, alongside Gavin & Stacey stars Matthew Horne and James Corden. The three times winner is said to be keen on the idea, and would no doubt bring some showbiz appeal to the ceremony.

British red top The Mirror quotes a source as saying "Kylie's been in lengthy talks with organisers of the 2009 show and the last-minute details are being finalised".

"She's the icing on the cake of what promises to be the best show ever.”

With the awards still over three months away, one winner has already been announced - Pet Shop Boys will receive the lifetime achievement award at the event on February 18th.
