German group head to Balado

Kraftwerk are set to play a headline set at this year's T In The Park.

Kraftwerk's current stint at the Tate Modern could well go down in history. Rewarded with lavish, devotional reviews the German group have unveiled an audio / visual show to rival anything the capital has witnessed in the past.

Confirming their intentions to play a few stand alone festival dates, Kraftwerk are set to headline this year's T In The Park. Marking an extremely rare Scottish performance from the band, the headline set coincides with the festival's 20th anniversary.

Set to play a set which spans their illustrious back catalogue, the German group join a line up which includes Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, The Killers and more. Festival director Geoff Ellis: "Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band. Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres. Autobahn was the first album I ever acquired and I witnessed them perform it live in its entirety at the Tate Modern last Wednesday when I was in the audience for the first of their run of shows there. They were absolutely amazing and I was blown away – it really was a life-affirming night. They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and we are hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T in the Park for the first time this July, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations."

T in the Park 2013 tickets will go on sale on next Friday (February 22nd).

T In The Park runs between July 12th - 14th.
