German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk are set to take their new audio / visual show to Oya this summer.
The return of Kraftwerk has been one of 2013's most impressive live music events. Selling out eight nights at the Tate Modern, the German group played their back catalogue in full while lavish 3-dimensional visuals were displayed behind them.
Set to play a handful of festival dates this summer, Kraftwerk recently announced plans to headline Oya. Making a rare return appearance to Norway, the performance will undoubtedly rank as a highlight for anyone lucky enough to be in the audience with the German group planning to sift through their back catalogue.
Joining an ever expanding bill, Kraftwerk top the latest announcements. Oya have recruited some special performances, though, with James Blake set to be on hand to showcase material from his forthcoming second album 'Overgrown'.
House guru John Talabot supplied 2012 with one of its finest electronic albums, and the producer is set to appear at the Oslo based event. Mount Kimbie will also be on hand, while other additions include Tame Impala, Foxygen, Palma Violets and more with reclusive American artist Rodriguez due to appear at Oya.
Tickets are on sale now.
Oya runs between August 6th - 10th.
