Kings Of Leon Exhibition
Career to be highlighted
Southern indie royalty Kings Of Leon are set to be honoured with a new photo exhibition in London.
Emerging from the deep South, Kings Of Leon at first seemed like a clone of The Strokes - albeit an extremely good one.
Debut album 'Youth And Young Manhood' worshipped at the altar of the New York group but also seemed to demonstrate a willingness to tread their own path.
Over the course of four albums Kings Of Leon have emerged as one of the most significant bands of their generation.
Sure, 'Only By The Night' might be over played and if their sex was ever on fire it must surely have gone out by now, but beneath the hype lie a stunning rock 'n' roll band.
Live, Kings Of Leon are sensational blending Southern charm with a huge sound. Demolishing festivals such as T In The Park and Oxegen the band confirmed that they are due to take a short break in order to work on new material.
Fans mourning their absence can indulge in a little walk down memory lane with a new photo exhibition. Documenting Kings Of Leon's career to date, the new London based show is set to launch today (October 21st).
Containing photos shot by Jo McCaughey the images document almost a decade in the group's lives. "The idea of just jumping on the tour bus and going along for the ride," said McCaughey, "shooting with no pretense... For a lot of my photographic life that's just what I've done, and I've had a blast."
'Kings Of Leon: Ten Year Reign' runs until December 6th in London's Proud Galleries.
