Kings Of Leon On Brits

Group praise awards

Southern indie royalty Kings Of Leon have praised the Brit awards, hinting that winning win is even better than getting a Grammy.

Kings Of Leon have made a spectacular leap into the world of stadiums in the UK. Last year's album 'Only By The Night' has been a phenomenal success, spawning the massive hit 'Sex On Fire'.

The band are due to headline a host of festivals this summer including T In The Park, Oxegen and many more. The group are due to perform at the Brit Award ceremony and are nominated for two awards.

Speaking to British red top The Sun singer Caleb Followill said "we always knew The Brits was the Grammys of the UK. So we basically knew that was our Grammy. It was always the biggest shot that we had. And I hear the gift bags are much better at The Brits."

Famously, Kings Of Leon enjoy a far greater degree of success in the UK than in their native United States.

“It will be fun to perform. Playing a concert is one thing but performing in front of loads of jaded artists is different. Hopefully, they will be into it."

"I can’t wait to see U2 and Coldplay perform. I want to see if our sound stands up to the big boys.”

The Brit Awards take place in Earl's Court, London tonight (February 18th).
