King Crimson To Resume With New Line Up

Robert Fripp posts note to fans...

Guitarist Robert Fripp has confirmed that King Crimson are set to resume with an entirely new line up.

One of prog's most potent, uncompromising outfits, King Crimson's story involves almost as many twists and turns as their music. Using different line ups in different decades, the band have continued to challenge both themselves and their audience.

On hiatus since 2009, guitarist Robert Fripp recently admitted in his online diary that the band were once again an ongoing concern. Working with a new line up, King Crimson are writing fresh material but it could take a year before anything is heard.

Fripp wrote: "So, King Crimson is in motion. This is a very different reformation to what has gone before: seven players, four English and three American, with three drummers. The Seven-Headed Beast of Crim is in Go! mode."
