Kills Singer Denies Jack White Brawl
Bar brawl denied in statement
It seems that recent rumours of a bar brawl between Jack White and Alison Mosshart are false, with The Kills singer issuing a statement strongly denying tabloid reports of the event.
Dark and moody two piece The Kills have been busy of late. A tour of the United States was dogged by problems, with their tour bus being stolen at one point. After gaining back up transport the tour continued before Mosshart collapsed backstage due to exhaustion.
The group are due to re-release their debut album 'Keep On Your Mean Side' soon, a ferocious blast of blues driven energy that has lost none of its impact. However The Kills could be set to take a break, due to Mosshart's involvement with new group The Dead Weather.
Yet another new group by Jack White, The Dead Weather contains members of The Greenhornes and Queens Of The Stone Age. Heavier and more synth driven than White's previous work, Mosshart's vocals add a filthy edge to the band's recordings.
However recent reports stated that the band's personal dynamic was already in trouble. British newspaper The Sun reported that Jack White and Alison Mosshart had been involved in a drunken bar brawl, which the singer has furiously denied.
"I don't usually bother responding to ridiculous fabricated tabloid rumours, but this one is particularly grotesque," she said.
"The stories circulating from a UK tabloid of a 'fist fight', or Jack punching me, or the two of us 'being at each others throats' are untrue."
"I'm just wrapping up a tour with The Kills and then I'll be back with The Dead Weather for the release of the album and a tour. It's a really great group of people to work with and I can't wait for everyone to hear the album."
The Dead Weather made their public debut at a special show in Nashville earlier this year. The band have already released one single, and are preparing to launch a full scale North American tour.
The Dead Weather are due to release their debut album 'Horehound'.
