Killers Singer Stops Drinking

Brandon Flowers settles down

Killers singer Brandon Flowers is to stop drinking in order to show his children a good example.

With last year's 'Day And Age' album the Las Vegas group entered the stratosphere. Hitting number one in the UK it spawned the massive hit single 'Human', with its bizarre lyrics ('are we dancer?') being imprinted upon the nation's consciousness.

After hitting it big The Killers apparently partied hard, but Brandon Flowers is set to tone things down. Raised in a Mormon family, he aims to set a good example for his young children.

"Drinking definitely conflicted with what I was raised to believe and what I want to teach my children to believe," he told The Daily Mirror. "When I think about the pain that came with it, it's a no-brainer."

"Music has taken the place of drinking for me. I write songs in a hotel room at 2am rather than go to a party."

The Killers are set for another massive year with a huge UK arena tour planned. Already sold out, it kicks off with a no doubt spectacular two night stint at the O2 Arena in London before travelling the country.
