Killers Show Postponed
Due to terrorist threat...
A show scheduled to take place in the Dutch city of Amsterdam featuring Las Vegas indie icons The Killers has been postponed following a terrorist threat.
The Killers are currently touring the world, with their latest album 'Day And Age' becoming a global hit. The band have organised a number of festival dates for the summer, including headline appearances at T In The Park and Ireland's Oxegen.
The band were due to roll into Amsterdam and play the show last night (March 12th) but the gig was postponed amid claims of a terrorist threat.
Police in the Netherlands received a tip off on Wednesday (March 11th) that an explosive attack was set to take place, which prompted the cancellation of the show.
Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen said: "It wasn't a regular bomb warning, but a warning of a planned action aimed at creating casualties in shops."
The gig has been re-scheduled for May 29th, with all original tickets remaining valid. The Killers have not commented on the incident, which is not thought to be directly linked to the band.
