Killers Play Mini Gig
For audience of Jonathan Ross
Las Vegas indie giants The Killers stunned audience members at the filming of 'Friday Night With Jonathan Ross' by playing an impromptu gig.
The Killers are set to be guests on tonight's (May 29th) edition of 'Friday Night With Jonathan Ross'. Brandon Flowers speaks to the host, giving an in depth chat on how he has adjusted to his band's sudden rise to fame.
The Las Vegas group released their new album 'Day And Age' last year. Spawning the smash hit single 'Human' and its bizarre yet loveable refrain of 'are we human or are we dancer?' the album has become The Killers biggest success to date.
Of course, Clash have been there form the start. Spotting The Killers' potential early, we caught up with a youthful Brandon Flowers for an interview. Listen to that exclusive chat by clicking HERE!
The band are due to have a busy summer. The Killers are set to return to T In The Park, a festival where they are held in great esteem after spectacular performances in the past. Brandon Flowers & Co. are also due to play a string of other events, with sets scheduled for Oxegen and V Festival.
However all that depends on The Killers surviving that long. Tabloid reports in Britain earlier this year suggested that the group were tired of constant touring at were at each others throats. Practising Mormon and lead singer Brandon Flowers was said to be acting as peace maker, with the group not set to get a break until the end of the summer.
Brandon Flowers has been extremely outspoken in recent interviews. The Killers frontman claimed that Nirvana had made American rock music depressing, and that his group represented something different.
After chatting to Jonathan Ross the band then played the customary final song of the show. However after getting a rapturous reception from the audience the group decided to stick around for more, with The Killers eventually playing a total of four songs: 'Human', 'The World We Live In', 'When You Were Young' and 'Mr Brightside'.
Renowned Twitter fan Jonathan Ross gave a running commentary on events for fans not able to make it to the studio, at one point saying "just finished this week show. All guests were great fun but Killers performance at the end was subarashi !"
