Killers For Benicassim

Las Vegas indie icons The Killers are the latest big name to be confirmed for the Benicassim event.

Cold where you are? It's certainly freezing in the ClashMusic office, while much of London has been reduced to a standstill after a few flakes of snow fell late last night. Time to look forward to warmer climes, then, and they don't come much warmer than Benicassim.

Set over four sweltering days in Spain, Benicassim has risen to become one of the premiere events in Europe. This year's line up includes some stellar attractions including Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Kings Of Leon and now The Killers.

The Las Vegas group have leaped into the premiere league with their new album 'Day And Age'. Spawning the smash hit 'Human', the album has sold by the truck load making The Killers one of the biggest groups around.

Organiser Vince Power said "I'm very pleased to have the Killers headline this year, not only is it their 1st time with us, but they are joining an amazing bill for our 15th Anniversary. This year's festival is shaping up to be the best in Europe".

Benicassim takes place between July 16th - 19th. Early bird tickets have already sold out.
