Azealia Banks remains a divisive figure.
The '212' singer has found herself embroiled in numerous social media based beefs, while fans wait patiently for much delayed debut album 'Broke With Expensive Taste'.
With work seemingly still ongoing, Bloc Party's Kele Okereke has decided to leap to her defence. Penning an open letter for Noisey, the frontman said: "Don't lose your heart, you still have it in you."
"It’s a pretty simple equation, you take their money, you have to do what they say... from the artists perspective it must be hard. Each time you think you’ve got it nailed you are told to go back and start again."
Discussing the impact breakthrough track '212' had on him, Kele Okereke finishes by comparing Azealia Banks to Kanye West and claims that she might still produce a classic album.
"Azealia Banks is in her own lane right now, her music still sounds like nothing else. So if you are reading this babes: get this record out, make these summer shows the best they can be and then get your head down and start again from scratch. Don't lose heart, you still have it in you."
