Keane Glasto Ambition
UK group want to grab headline slot
Keane are set to storm into 2009, and the group have outlined their plans for world domination including fulfilling an ambition to play one of the big slots at Glastonbury festival, it has been announced.
The timid trio were on the ropes after a spell in rehab, but Keane bounced back late last year with the hugely successful album 'Perfect Symmetry'. A massive hit in the UK, it even breached the US charts breaking into the Billboard Top Ten.
The band recently claimed that they still hope to play a big slot at Glastonbury. “There are certain slots at festivals that are great to play – like the sun going down,” Chaplin told British red top The Daily Star.
“We always wanted to play in front of 50,000 people spellbound, and we felt that we managed to create that magic last year when we were playing festivals around the world.”
Chaplin continued “Glastonbury is such a great thing to take part in and there is so much to do that I really hope we play it this year. It’s been a long time since we did.”
The line up for Glastonbury is expected to be released soon.
