Keane Confirm Kanye Team Up
Band To Get Hip Hop Overhaul
Timid trio Keane have surprised onlookers by revealing that they are set to collaborate with US hip hop giant Kanye West, it has been reported.
Keane released their third album 'Perfect Symmetry' this year. A huge smash on the British charts, the album even made it into the US Billboard Top 10 with the band playing a number of sell out shows in the States.
The two acts met in Paris after West asked to speak to the group. The hip hop icon and current Clash Magazine cover star is apparently a Keane fan, and would like to work with them.
In an interview with BBC 6Music, drummer Richard Hughes revealed that "we’d been thinking about asking him to have a crack at a remix and actually he ended up rapping over a little bit of 'You Haven’t Told Me Anything'.”
He added: “I don’t know how we’re going get it to see the light of day. We’ll maybe try to take that idea and run with it. It would be a shame to put it out without making the most of it.”
