Kasabian UK Dates Revealed

Returning indie overlords Kasabian have revealed UK tour dates for this coming summer.

As you can probably tell by the trail of guitars and empty bottles of Jack Daniel's, Kasabian are on comeback trail. The Leicester group have finished their new album, and have already been confirmed as the main support on this summer's string of stadium shows with Manchester giants Oasis.

As if that didn't keep them busy enough the group are set to play a string of festivals with The Great Escape and Cornwall's Eden Sessions high up on the bill.

The band are set to give away their new single 'Vlad The Impaler' from 7.30pm tonight (March 31st). The track is their fans' first glimpse of new album 'West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum' which is set to be released on June 8th.

The band gave fans a preview of new material at a recent show in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. The performance in London's Royal Albert Hall also saw the band play a number of covers, with Kasabian looking excited to be back in the live arena.

Although only a free download the song has been backed by an elaborate new video. Directed by IT Crowd actor Richard Ayoade, the film has already become cult viewing with the band taking a typically over the top approach to pop visuals.

The new dates are set to stretch throughout the summer, and kick off with a three night hometown residency. De Montford Hall in Leicester is one of the biggest venues in the Midlands, and the show is set to be packed with surprises.
