A truly worthy charity, War Child have developed a reputation for stunning set piece shows.
Drawing on some of the biggest names around, the charity has announced plans for a one off gig later this year. Taking place at London venue the Shepherds Bush Empire on June 18th, headliners will be none other than Kasabian.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 30th) at 9am, priced at £50. The show comes just ten days before Kasabian headline Glastonbury.
Ben Knowles, Director of Music at War Child says: "We are delighted that our friends Kasabian are again supporting War Child with this small concert at a huge time for the band – getting to see their Glastonbury-scale set in the intimate confines of O2 Shepherds Bush Empire will be very exciting. The generosity of the band, their team and the fans who buy tickets or donate will directly help change and save the lives of the most vulnerable children suffering the brutal effects of war."
Tom Meighan from Kasabian adds: "That children suffer in war is unacceptable, and it’s important that War Child are there to do something about it. We couldn’t be happier to again help them in their vital work with a concert we’re really looking forward to. We hope Kasabian fans will support War Child at this event, or by donating to War Child."
