Kasabian Team Up With Mighty Boosh

Comedy team to direct video

Just when we thought Kasabian were a bunch of retro types who took themselves too seriously, they go and get comedy team the Mighty Boosh to direct their new video.

The Mighty Boosh seem to have developed a close relationship with the music scene. Gary Numan's career revival owes much to the show's patronage, while the team have earned a cult reputation with their own bizarre sonic creations.

According to The Sun, The Mighty Boosh are set to direct the epic ten minute video to Kasabian's comeback single 'Vlad The Impaler'. Previous Kasabian videos have seen them form a band of Napoleonic renegades, and other such realistic pursuits.

The group have apparently been told they have to dress up for the shoot, although the theme has not yet been revealed. Noel Fielding is rumoured to be in line to direct the video, which will co-star the show's talking ape Bollo.

Richard Ayoade has also been lined up to appear in the video. Aside from acting Ayoade is a noted director who has worked with groups such as Arctic Monkeys, amongst others.

Kasabian are due to release their new single 'Vlad The Impaler' later this year.

New album 'West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum' is due to be released on June 8th.
