Kasabian / Noel Gallagher Team Up?
Guitarist could join the group on tour
Leicester indie giants Kasabian could provide shelter for erstwhile Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher on their forthcoming UK tour.
It's been a shocking year for Oasis fans. After the success of 'Dig Out Your Soul' and the band's biggest UK tour in a decade Noel Gallagher walked out on the band he helped steer to global fame.
Claiming unbearable "intimidation" forced him out of Oasis Noel Gallagher has since remained silent refusing to talk about the split.
Close friends Kasabian could offer the guitarist refuge on their forthcoming tour. Speaking to British tabloid News Of The World singer Tom Meighan claimed that the guitarist would be welcome on their upcoming arena tour.
"We've got our arena tour in November. Noel will be calling us up nearer the time for sure saying 'Lads, I'm going to come perform with you on tour'. He's a performing machine, and loves playing live so he jumps at the opportunity whenever he can join us" said the singer.
Asked about the possibility of a further collaboration, Tom Meighan said: "We'd love to do a track with him. Never say never. But at the moment he's concentrating on his solo stuff and we're busy as ever".
Noel Gallagher's split from Oasis followed months of speculation over the possibility of a solo album from the guitarist.
Kasabian have confirmed the following tour dates:
