Kasabian Lambast MPs
Parliament get it in the neck
Leicester giants Kasabian have entered into the current scandal engulfing the British parliament, with guitarist Serge Pizzorno criticising MPs.
With the credit crunch ruining the economy British MPs have decided to kick the nation when its down by spending all our money on fancy curtains and nice coasters for their fourth home. With the Speaker Of The House Of Commons being effectively forced out of office in unprecedented scenes, the stage is set for one band to sort out the whole mess - Kasabian!
The indie giants are due to return on June 8th with their new album 'West Rider Pauper Asylum'. Apparently a concept album it contains some of the band's most intriguing work to date, including free download comeback single 'Vlad The Impaler'.

However Kasabian aren't just content to release new music - they've got the world to sort out. In a new interview guitarist Serge Pizzorno lashes out as Conservative MP Douglas Hogg who has been heavily criticised for his role in the expenses scandal.
Members of Parliament can claim back money spent on their property, leading to Douglas Hogg spending £2,200 of public money to clean his moat.
The Kasabian man laughed to British magazine Uncut, claiming "I bet Douglas Hogg thinks everyone in England has got a moat. I bet everyone he knows has a moat."
Continuing Pizzorno said: "To be honest, I quite like the idea that he finds it impossible to do any work unless he's got a clean moat."
"I have visions of him sitting around in one of those dressing gowns that looks like a sleeping bag, smoking expensive cigarettes through a cigarette holder and wondering how a gentleman can lift a finger with a filthy moat to worry about."
"I am definitely warming to Douglas Hogg MP. It's a shame he's not a lord, then he'd be Lord Hogg, it'd sort of complete the picture."
Well Serge Pizzorno it looks as though your luck is in - Douglas Hogg is in fact a Viscount.
Slightly closer to home for Kasabian is Keith Vaz. The band's local MP in Leicester was caught up in the expenses scandal, with Vaz allegedly claiming £75,000 for a second home in Westminster despite living in Stanmore, West London, just 12 miles away.
Kasabian have also been caught up in another public row. Oasis are due to head out on tour soon with Kasabian and The Enemy in tow, however Serge & Co. will be dismayed to find out that their touring partners have already fallen out.
Kasabian will release their new album 'West Rider Pauper Asylum' on June 8th.
