Accompanied by full band

Model turned singer Karen Elson is set to stream a live performance on the internet this Wednesday (May 25th).

Karen Elson was a well respected model who had always harboured a love of music. Once recording a duet with Cat Power, few realised that she had actually begun writing material of her own.

Husband Jack White persuaded the singer to enter the recording studio, with her debut album being released earlier this year.

A confident collection of gothic folk hymns, Karen Elson seemed to take her inspiration from songwriting greats such as Bob Dylan. Of course, comparisons to Cat Power remain but Elson has a deeply individual voice.

Arranging a British tour for this month, the dates were recently cancelled. No explanation was given, with full refunds offered to fans.

Now Karen Elson has arranged a new full band show which will be broadcast across the internet. Performing in Nashville, the singer will be joined by a new group formed specially for the show.

Comprising of her brother-in-law Jackson Smith, fellow Citizens Band member Rachelle Garniez, Olivia Jean and Marc Fellis the group will blast through material from Karen Elson's debut album.

Broadcast through the Third Man Records official website, the label recently hosted live shows from the likes of The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs.

Karen Elson will perform at live show on Wednesday (May 26th) beginning at 6pm.
