Bush Hall date confirmed

Model turned singer Karen Elson is due to play a one off show in London later this year.

Karen Elson has always been associated with music, but few expected the model to be a consummate songwriter. The wife of Jack White, she began writing songs in secret when taking care of the kids.

Secluding herself away so no one would know, Karen Elson began stockpiling material. One day she was overheard by Jack White, who urged her to begin recording the songs.

Soon the doors of the Third Man studio were flung open, with Karen Elson laying down tracks for her debut album. Released earlier this year, 'The Ghost Who Walks' was an affecting slice of gothic Americana.

Benefiting from Jack White's production skills, the album demonstrated the natural songwriting of Karen Elson. Organising a British tour, the dates were cancelled at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.

No further explanation was given, with fans given a refund for the cancelled shows. To date, the singer has shied away from public performance. However the model turned singer did perform a special webcast, live from the Third Man studio in Nashville.

Working with a full band, Karen Elson has now confirmed a special one off London show on September 20th.

The show will be her only British appearance, following on from the cancelled tour earlier this year. No other dates have been confirmed, although it is expected that Karen Elson will confirm a handful of European shows.

Taking place on September 20th, tickets for the Bush Hall show will go on sale shortly.
