Kanye West has seemingly told a crowd at a Californian show that he not only didn't vote in the Presidential election, but he would have considered voting for Donald Trump.
The rapper played a huge show in San Jose last night (November 17th) and took a moment to express a few of his political beliefs.
“I told you I didn’t vote,” he is said to have told the crowd. “But if I voted, I would have voted on Trump.”
“Not only did I not vote, but there were a lot of things I actually liked about Trump’s campaign… His approach was f****** genius – because it worked.”
Kanye West seemingly wanted to declare for Donald Trump before the election, but his advisers (perhaps wisely) told him not to.
He told the crowd: "I wanted to say that before the election, but they told me, ‘Whatever you do don’t say that aloud'".
The pronouncements didn't sit well with the crowd – California voted overwhelmingly against Donald Trump, with some prominent businesspeople now urging the state to secede.
Kanye West has yet to clarify his comments.
